New trustee and patron announced

It's not just the Cobblers who can make new signings.

We are extremely pleased to let you know about the new additions to the Breast Friends team for 2020 and beyond.

Councillor Anna King has agreed to become a patron of Breast Friends Northamptonshire and she will be working alongside the charity to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness in the Northamptonshire region. Anna is the councillor for Phippsville and Cabinet Member for Community Engagement and is also the Chair of the Northampton Women’s Forum.

 

 

We are also delighted to announce that Jules Kennedy has been appointed as a Trustee of Breast Friends Northamptonshire.

Jules joins Leonie Heard, Sally Wood ACMA CGMA, Michael Bates and Louise Gordon on the Trustee Board, and brings a wealth of business knowledge, energy and enthusiasm, along with her experience as part of our managing Committee.

BFN named Community Group/Organisation of the Year 

Breast Friends Northamptonshire were named as the winners of the Community Group/Organisation of the Year at the Northampton Leisure Trust Sports Awards, held at The Guildhall in Northampton on October 16th 2019.

BFN joins forces with the Northampton Lottery

We are pleased to announce a partnership with the Northampton Lottery where you can buy tickets and directly support Breast Friends Northamptonshire.

 

Prizes range from free tickets to a massive £25,000 full details of the scheme and prize breakdown can be read here.

 

8th October 2019

BFN named as October Charity for the Swansgate Shopping Centre

 

BFN member Lynne (Maskell) dropped in a nomination card into the charity suggestion at the Swansgate Centre in Wellingborough box and we have been chosen for October.

 

The cheque was presented by Joanna Chapman from the Swansgate Shopping Centre.

 

We will be allocating the £100 donation to our October members' meeting which included the art therapy workshop.

 

Tesco Bag Packing at Towcester raises over £1000

 

Members of Breast Friends headed down to Tesco in Towcester and packed bags for customers over two days on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October. 

 

In doing so they helped raise awareness during Breast Cancers Awareness month and our team of volunteers managed the incredible feat of raising £1045 which will go towards Wellness Walks and Chemotherapy bags in the coming months.

 

BFN announced as Northampton Town charity partner

 

Breast Friends Northampton are pleased to announce that they have been chosen by Northampton Town Football Club to be one of their charity partners for the 2019/20 season.
